The parents of tennis star Aisam ul Haq Qureshi have denied media reports regarding their son and his wife Faha Makhdum.
According to Aisam’s mother, news of the tennis star and his wife separating were not correct. Meanwhile his father Ihtisham ul Haq Qureshi said that Aisam had not sent divorce papers to his wife.

The family of Faha Makhdum were not aware on Sunday that Pakistan tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi had sent divorce papers to his wife Faha Makhdum who is currently visiting family in London.
Speaking to Geo/The News over telephone, sources close to family said: “This report has come as news to us. We are not aware of any divorce proceedings.”
The family was surprised that such news was being put out when they had no idea and they would not like to become part of any media frenzy or wish to become fodder of the news.”
It was reported on Sunday from sources close to Aisam’s family and friends that Aisam had sent divorce papers to Faha Makhdum in London after the couple failed to develop an understanding between them but Faha’s family refused to speculate on any aspect of the news story. The couple tied the knot on December 17, 2011 in a grand wedding ceremony held at Garrison Golf Club, Lahore, which was attended by guests from all over the world, including many sports stars and celebrities.
Faha got her early education in UK and is a clinical psychotherapist by profession.
Earlier it was reported that Aisam had sent divorce papers to his wife Faha after the couple failed to develop an understanding between them.
The couple had tied the knot on December 17, 2011 in a grand wedding ceremony in Lahore.
