Co-hosts Poland have no injury concerns heading into their group opener against the surprise winners from eight years ago, and Franciszek Smuda is expected to name the same starting XI that has featured in Poland’s last two friendly encounters.
This means Borussia Dortmund trio Lukasz Piszczek, Jakob Blaszczykowski and Robert Lewandowski will all be included from the off, while Rafal Murawski and Eugen Polanski will occupy the central midfield spots as the White Eagles look to kick off their tournament with intent.
Greece can also boast a full bill of health going into the tournament, and are expected to line-up in a 4-3-3 formation versus the hosts. Vasilis Torosidis appeared a doubt when he picked up a knee injury in a friendly against Slovenia last week, but the right-back has shrugged off the knock to take part in recent training sessions.
Sotiris Ninis has also been struggling with a knock, though the 21-year-old has been declared fit and is available for selection. The Panathinaikos attacker is likely to start the game from the bench, with Dimitris Salpingidis set to be favoured on the right side of a three-prong strikeforce.
